Risk by Candle-stic
Risk
Thought I'd add a picture of Risk without all the paint on him. I hope I drew him right. I love the colouring of him; it was so much fun.

Character belongs to J.M.Spellbound on Fanfiction.

Bumblebee's by Candle-stic
Bumblebee's
Hey look another transformers picture. Which, you guessed it, is from Jaycee's series 'the Guardians Guild'. Bumblebee and Risk decided to do some painting. Well, actually Bumblebee did. Risk was just keeping him company. Don't you just love his finished piece :D? I do. And I'm really happy with how my own piece came out.

Hope you like it. If you do you should totally check out J.M.Spellbound's stories on Fanfiction they're incredible. I've had a lot of fun drawing cute Bumblebee antics from it.

Ironhide's Gift by Candle-stic
Ironhide's Gift
Another transformer pic :) again from Jaycee's Guardians Guild series. This time it's from "All Roads lead Home" where Bumblebee gives Ironhide the picture for New Vorns. So much cuteness! I couldn't resist drawing it :D
Anyway, I'm really happy how it turned out. I used a couple of tips from H.L.War which helped heaps. Thank you my friend :). Still feel like I have a way to go but I'm so happy with how much I've improved too.

Family by Candle-stic
Family
I tried something a little different with this one. I was working on making something a little more realistic. Didn't turn out too bad but I think I can do better.
Anyway, this is some more fan art for J.M. Spellbound's Guardian's Guild story - Secret of the Stars. It takes place in the same chapter the last one I drew took place: basically Sunstreaker is drawing Sideswipe and Bumblebee playing cards and Bumblebee wants to try. Anway this bit really touched me:

'Only once he was fully satisfied with his masterpiece did he lean back with a click of happiness and turn his brilliant blue optics to Sunstreaker who was looking over the image with an approving smile.
"Done!" Bumblebee announced proudly.
"I wanna see!" Sides said reaching forward so Sunny would tilt the sketch pad so he could look as well. Bee watched with a little apprehension as both mechs studied his art until Sideswipe spoke again with praise. "That's awesome, Half Pint!"
Bee smiled though he shrugged a little to himself as he spoke around the pen still in his mouth. "Not as good as Sunny's but I tried."
"Nonsense!" Sunstreaker scolded, lightly flicking Bee on an antenna before gently pulling the pen out of his mouth as Bee batted him away with a laugh. "It is wonderful and very much your style. I love it, Half Pint."
"Really?" Bee asked hopefully.
Sunny stared down at him for a nano-klick before nodding. "Yes."
Bee grinned like the whole universe was suddenly filled with rainbows and puffy clouds before he latched onto Sunstreaker's mid section for a tight-as-he-could-manage hug. The golden mech was shocked for just a moment before his brother's smile snapped him out of it and he lightly, mindful of the painful places and wires on the youngling, hugged him back.
"Now," Sides drew Bee's attention back. "What is it?"
Bee burst into a fit of giggles at the slight confusion on Sideswipe's faceplate as he studied the random splotches of color and lines that resembled mechs. Sides could tell what they were, but he found it far more entertaining to mess with the youngling. So he played dumb and basked in the glow that was a happy Bumblebee.
"Our family, silly!" Bee gasped around his giggles.
The words froze both mechs though Bee was so set on his explanation, and the meds in his system were clouding him just enough, that he couldn't tell.
"See," Bee pointed to figure after figure. "That Optimus, that Hide, and Ratch, and Jazzy, and Sides, and Sunny, and Risk, and that me, and that Prowl, and Wheeljack, and after that kinda run out of room, but I make 'nother one with every bot."
The twins stared down at the smiling faces of the little stick figure bots Bee had drawn happily together with Bee smack dab center of all of them with the biggest grin Primus had ever come up with stretched across his faceplate, much like the one he wore now as the glanced back and forth between them.
Trying to find his voice Sideswipe ran an unconscious had over his scared chest before nodding slowly. "Neat, Half Pint."
Sunstreaker had a lot more trouble finding the working ability of his vocal processor though. He just sat there dumbly staring down at the image without a clue as how to respond.
Family?
The very word sent shudders through the fearless mech's spark.
It was one thing for him to silently admit it, but for some other bot too say it out loud. It made it another whole level of terrifying.
Sudden reassurance and strength came pouring through his sibling bond making Sunny raise his optics to his brother's to find Sideswipe offering him a small, knowing kind of smile. He didn't even have to speak through the bond. Sunny knew what he was saying.
It's going to be alright.
The words rang out from the love his brother pushed in and the gleam in his optics. Sunstreaker shot him a glare, but his spark wasn't in it and Sides just shrugged him off as he turned his focus back to Bumblebee.
"I really like it." Sides nodded again earning another grin from Bumblebee.
"You really like, Sunny?" The little mech asked again still unsure of his art compared to that of the golden mech's.
"Yes, Half Pint." Sunstreaker nodded…'
 </span>

I could just imagine Sunny pulling out the sketch book later and looking at both of the picture and this is what came out. And before anyone asks yes Sunstreaker is in Bee's picture his thumb is just covering it.

Ok so this one I actually was tagged by :hlwar:

Rules:
1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person has to share 10 facts about themselves.
3. Answer the 10 questions asked by the person who tagged you and make up 10 questions for the 10 you tag.
4. Choose 10 people and put their icon in your journal.
5. No tag-backs.

So facts about me:
1. I'm studying mechanical engineering at university
2. I'm a Christian
3. I love cartoons and superheroes
4. I have an incredibly vivid imagination which added to my intellectual mindset tends to lead to some very detailed results.
5. I'm a perfectionist and a completer-finisher which together have caused me some problems getting things done on time.
6. I tend to get stressed a lot =P
7. I love making people laugh and smile
8. I'm a whiz at maths
9. I feel vulnerable presenting things I've created to people because of how much I put into them
10. I love music whether it's listening, singing or dancing to it. If I don't want to do one of these things then something's usually wrong.

Answers:
1. Which of your deviations is the memorable/meaningful and why?
Rose by Candle-sticThis piece still is one of my best. It's memorable because this was the first realistic piece I attempted in colour and it was with this success that I officially moved onto drawing with colour pencils. That's also the reason it's my icon pic.
2. In your opinion, which is more important: story or characters?
Both are important. But to me, it's the characters that make it :).
3. If you could change one thing about your style(art, writing, whatever) what would it be and why?
Probably my writing style. It takes me so long to write anything and it tends to come off quite youngish. It's something I really have to work hard at.
4. What is the craziest thing you've ever done?
Well, I'm not really the sort of person who does crazy stupid stuff. Probably the time my friends and I dressed up and acted out parts of Merlin and medieval times at the Castle near where I live. That was pretty funny and crazy.
5. What themes do you like to explore in your art?
I don't know if I have anything in particular. I just draw when I feel like it and I like experimenting.
6. When was the last time you tried something outside your comfort zone, and what were the results?
My boyfriend is always trying to get me to push the edges of my comfort zone when it comes to socializing and/or officially talking to people (E.g. Phone interviews, applying for jobs, etc.). Usually they don't end as bad as I was making them out to be.
7. Name something you dislike about DeviantArt.
Trying to link stuff is really cumbersome.
8. What kind of creative patterns, routines or rituals do you have?
Um well, I write on the bus to and from uni. I tend to draw in lectures. I sing and dance while doing housework and cooking. And I blow bubbles while washing my hands =P.
9. What hobby would you like to pursue one day?
I really want to learn archery one day.
10. What makes a "hero" in your opinion?
Someone who puts the needs of others before his/her own. Someone who wants to make a difference in the world, whether that's a big thing or a small thing. A lot of the time we tend to focus in the big heroes: superman, famous people. But sometimes the smallest action could change the world for someone, then you become their hero. After all, the biggest heroes in our lives when we're young are our parents.

Questions:
1. If you could have any super power what would it be?
2. What's your favourite movie?
3. Your all time favourite character (from book, tv series, movie, etc.)?
4. One of your funniest memories?
5. If you found a genie or a shooting star or something else that could grant wishes would you still use them if you knew they would come at an equally high price?
6. If you could have any pet (possible or impossible/ fantasy or real) what would it be and what would you call it?
7. What's your favourite game and why?
8. Do you have any siblings?
9. What's your most valuable possession?
10. One thing you're proud about your work (drawing, writing, etc.)

I'm not really all that big on tagging people so do it if you want to :)

Aww, you are absolutely welcome, m'dear!! :tighthug: I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful birthday, and yay for being spoiled!! XD Did you make off like a bandit and eat way too much cake?! But oh my, cyclonic weather? (O_o) That's pretty intense; how bad did Mother Nature get? I admit, I'm a big fan of storms, even though their unpredictability can be a tad frightening.

Thank you for your wonderful review again, by the way! You're just the best and I greatly appreciate it!!

Nah, don't have that much of a sweet tooth. My parents got me an awesome cake though :D.

Well Australia was hit by two cyclones that day =P. It didn't actually hit us specifically though since we're too far south. But it did mean there was lots of rain around then and some of the roads flooded making it hard to get places. It made for an interesting yet still awesome day :).

No problem :D I was excited to see you'd posted. I hope you are doing well and am looking forward to whenever you post again Hug

Hey Amy, it's nice to hear from you :). Been a while. Yes, your stuff is beautiful. I love all the intricate details in your jewelry and your teddies are cute :). Do you make them all from scratch? Haha thanks :) glad that you like them and don't feel too pressured to read them, I'm just happy that you like my stuff.

Pretty much everything is made from scratch (except clasps really). For my jewellery even some of my jump rings are made by hand. And all the teddies are made from scratch, and hand sewn (fur is not friendly with my sewing machine :p ). But by hand sewing them i can get the pieces to fit better and do finer details. Although noses are horrible. Whose idea was it that teddies and soft toys needed noses??!?
